Shipping FAQs
Q: How soon can I expect my order?
A: Orders placed online should allow 1-2 business days for warehouse processing, then the package is shipped according to the shipping speed selected – Ground, 2nd day, 3-day air etc.
Q: Do I need to be present to receive the package?
A: Yes, UPS needs an adult signature from anyone over 21 years of age to release the package. They won’t leave the package but they will leave you with a delivery attempt sticker on your door if they were not able to deliver.
Q: What happens if I missed the delivery?
A: A total of 3 delivery attempts will be made before it is returned to the sender. During this time you can use your UPS MyChoice account to reroute the package for pick up at a UPS access point. See more info below regarding UPS access points.
Q: What is a Weather-hold?
A: A Weather-hold is placed by our warehouse when the weather are deemed unsafe to ship according to their guidelines. Typically this means temperatures below 45F or above 85F in Walla Walla, in the route of where the wine will travel and/ or at the destination. This is done to protect our wine quality during transit. Our warehouse staff will monitor the weather and shall release the package upon review. Unfortunately this means we cannot guarantee the time when the wines are to be delivered during this time.
Q: Can I ship to a UPS Access point?
A: UPS has moved away from customer centres; therefore, packages for pickup must now be shipped or rerouted to a UPS Access Point. Customers can reroute packages via the UPS MyChoice app. Our warehouse cannot reroute a package to an UPS access point, that must be done by your own UPS my choice account. Our warehouse can only reroute the package to another residential address.
To ship directly to an Access Point, the specific UPS Store Access Point code MUST be included in the second address line. You can find this code by using the UPS Access Point Lookup, find the store, and under more details you will see the Access Point number.See example below.
