2021 Spring Rosé, Walla Walla Valley 

Varietal : 100% Sangiovese
Vineyard : 100% Mission Hill Vineyard
Fermentation method : 100% Stainless Steel
Alcohol : 12.5%

Spring is unpredictable. You may get sunshine one day and rain another. The SMAK Spring Rosé encompasses these qualities, and you'll be reminded of whichever spring mood you’re in. 

The Spring Rosé bouquet blooms like the spring flower - honeysuckle and pea shoots dominate in the beginning, then evolves into tangerines and lychees. The minerality reminds me of spring rain with a touch of river rock and oyster shells.

On the palette, the acid lifts and wakes you up while juicy clementine and tangerine notes appear. Among the white peach and lemon/lime one may also find green apple and Himalayan pink salt.

Pairs well with oysters, sushi, ramen and fried foods.


2021 Summer Rosé, Columbia Valley

Vineyard: 100% Gamache Vineyard

In France, Beach and Rosé go hand in hand. The SMAK Summer Rosé is certain to remind you of that. 

The Summer Rosé opens with an intense bouquet of lemon verbena, apricot flower and grassy notes. The first sip reminds me of having Thai food on the beach. Peach, cantaloupe, cucumber and mango notes are balanced by stone and mineral undertone. Notes of papaya and lemongrass round out this beautiful summer wine. 

Pairs well with Asian cuisine, tacos, fish, spicy foods and shellfish.


2021 Autumn Rosé, Columbia Valley 

Varietal : 100% Syrah
Vineyard: 100% Gamache Vineyard
Fermentation method : 100% Neutral French Oak Barrels
Malolactic fermentation and Lees stirring: 50% Malo, Lees stirring for 2 months 
Alcohol : 12.7%
Residual Sugar : 0g

Winter can sometimes be dark and depressing. Some days you just want to snuggle up with a blanket in front of a TV. The SMAK Fall/ Winter Rosé is so perfect for that.

This is a great transition from summer, with inviting notes of cherry blossom and pie cherry. The 100% barrel fermentation affords subtle hints of almonds, hazelnuts and baking spice, giving the wine more complexity and depth. Notes of caramelised orange peel and grapefruit envelope the bouquet while cherry and pear linger on the finish. This wine gives you warmth and hugs you like a cashmere sweater. 

This wine is best suited with tomatoes and pairs well with pastas, comfort foods, light meats and fish.


2021 Winter Bubbly Rosé, Columbia Valley

Varietal : Syrah, Grenache
Vineyard : Wahluke Slope
Fermentation method : 100% Stainless Steel
Alcohol : 13%
Residual Sugar : 3g

The SMAK Winter Bubbly Rosé is fit for any celebration needs.

This is a great aperitif into any meals and occasions, with inviting floral notes of orange blossom and hibiscus. At first taste this reminds me of having a cherry Jolly Rancher. The palate brings back childhood memories of strawberries and cream. The Syrah based wine brings plenty of cherry and orange notes, balanced by limestone lemon peel in the finish.

This bubbly Rosé can be paired with a wide array of foods including sushi, seafood, Asian Cuisine and desserts.

Among the kiwi and starfruit, one may also find key lime cream, lychee and Herb de Provence.

The minerality reminds me of spring rain with a touch of flint and limestone. On the palette, the acid lifts and wakes you up while stone fruit notes appear. Among the apricot and peach, one may also find lime, dried coconut and wildflower honey.
Pairs well with fresh oysters, sushi, and fried chicken.
